Dressed in my best, I went along with my husband to the reception. We skipped the whole church thing and we went directly to the reception. It was held in Venue 88, Purok Malakas, General Santos City.  Krisjean is my husband's friend and believe it or not, it was our first time to attend a non-Muslim wedding reception. So for me, this experience is worth sharing.

The place was beautifully made. Very perfect. Very bluish. The staff hospitality was so great. The room was spacious and I bet the food was delicious although we left during dinner because my husband was dismayed upon seeing the “litson” slicing in front of him haha Muslim thingy. But other than that, everything was so great.

Also, I kind of liked the table arrangement. There were some sand with sea shells on it, of course flower arrangement was so good. You can notice that guests were very comfortable plus the very nice room temperature.

The ceremony began with the groom and bridal party procession, together with the principal sponsors, and newlywed’s parents.

One of the most awaited part for the newlyweds was their first dance as husband and wife. We left during the dinner so I guess we missed other parts of the ceremony.
Another thing I love in this event is the value of cooperation. The guests were very participative and that made the newlyweds feel happy and valued. I can read in Krisjean’s face that she waited long for this moment. And for Mark, it’s so obvious with just the way he move that he was so happy and proud. We felt the same feeling during our wedding two years ago. Very unforgettable. Well,  I wish them good health and years of happiness. Congratulations to Mark and Krisjean.

“Every woman deserves a man who respects her
and every man deserves a woman who appreciates his effort.”

 Assalamu Alaykum…

FYI, the bride is my sister-in-law. My husband and I had the joy of being part of their wedding preparation- the Prenup, Wedding Program, Wedding Photography, as Wedding Emcees, Wedding Consultant and ahm, we sort of provide videos and musics too. Last Sunday, (April 24, 2016) was the wedding and it was held at El Amor Garden located at Lagao, General Santos City.
Five months of preparation were barely enough because there’s still so much things left to do. The very week before the wedding was crucial part. But still, the couple managed to prepare things beautifully. Alia, herself picked the color of the motif, matched to her wedding gown and the rest of the groom and bridal party. I also helped styling the reception because I want it to be so special. I want all the attention to the newlyweds and that would need an elegantly simple stage background. It wasn’t a perfectly perfect wedding but a perfectly perfect moment for the newlyweds, Alia and Nur.Of course all of this wouldn’t be possible without the guidance of Almighty Allah and without the help of different individuals who gladly extend their hands to Alia and Nur. May Allah reward them.
Now, let me share the details with you.

Alia met Nur via Alia’s friend. They started as a friend and we all knew how did it end.

Alia obviously had the taste in choosing wedding outfits.

This is the actual Muslim wedding. Participated by the groom, witnesses and other VIPs. It was held in a mosque near the bride’s house.

Happiness is all over this photo. Stunning bridesmaids and happy newlyweds.

Alhamdulillah. Wedding is not just a wedding but also a dream that was brought into reality. Congratulation to the newlyweds and may Allah SWT shower His blessings and unite the two of them together in Jannah.

A photo is not just a photo but memories .

Since photography became my big hobby lately, I immediately said “yes” when the bride asked me to be their photographer.  I’m just so honored to be a part of #NorandAlia wedding photoshoot. One thing I learned in this experience was that it is better to capture the couple when they are naturally having fun. I mean no one can beat that. Their best shots were those unscripted poses. When they were comfortable with each other as if there’s no photographer around, that’s the best shot for me.
So brace yourself for a long photography post.

Location: Saranggani Highlands, and Mindanao State University General Santos City.
