Huawei D16 a Non-Techy User Review

Huawei D16 was launched in July 2022. I bought my Huawei Matte Pad D16, 12th Gen Intel Core i5, in October 2022. This series is the newly released version of Huawei matte pad. I'm not a techy user, and all I wanted for my laptop is a 16 GB of RAM because I wasn't happy with my previous laptop's 8 GB of RAM.

It comes in two colors: space gray and mystic silver. I chose Mystic Silver since it is a warm color for me and its close to color white. Well, I am longing for a pink laptop, but I also like the color of this one. It comes with two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, and a 3.5mm headset and microphone 2-in-1 jack.

I appreciate its large screen, which is ideal for day-to-day work. It is not convenient for me to carry all the time because of its size. Compared to other laptops with the same size, this one is lighter. It is a perfect replacement for a PC for my day-to-day work. Since the screen is big, it is also ideal for watching movies and YouTube videos.

The thing that I love most about this laptop is its keyboard. Since it is bigger, it has a number pad. I always use the number pad in my work, and I can’t imagine a laptop without it; my work is going to be a mess. So it gives the user a comfortable typing experience.

Just like other Huawei Mate pads, it also uses a fingerprint or lock code to open. It is really not bad for its price. Additionally, Huawei laptop is also recognized for its fast-charging capacity. It is using a 65-watt charger, which allows you to charge the battery to full capacity in around 30 minutes charging time.

I also appreciate the performance, which is to be expected for a 16GB RAM, in that it never runs slowly, even when I have several apps open at the same time. It's ideal for someone like me who is impatient. Even if I am using at least 30 tabs, I haven’t encountered any slow response issues.

The display is fine for me. I am not that techy a user to distinguish the type of display from other laptops. However, if I do not use a headset, the sound quality is a little disappointing. It's not very loud, and the quality isn't all that great either. But I use a headset anyway, so I never mind.

Its battery is good for more than 6 hours or less, which is disappointing for some people but not bad for me since my previous laptop’s battery life is just 5 hours. I also like its webcam; it is clearer and has good pixels. Perfect for interviews and Zoom meetings.

Also, compared to other laptops with similar specs, the Huawei D16 is a lot cheaper. I’ve been using this laptop for more than two months, and so far, I've never been disappointed with its performance, so it’s a good buy for me.

Overall, the main reasons for you to buy this laptop are its size, the keyboard, and it is cheaper. This is what makes it stand out from the rest.
